2010 Chinese Spring Festival
Year of the Tiger got off to an early roaring start at the Swansea Brangwyn Hall on 7th February.
After a year’s rest, the New Year Celebration went ahead with the help of Funding from Awards for All and kind sponsors. The event was well attended and citizens of Swansea were thrilled to see the celebration back on. Feed backs from the day showed that it is one of the most popular family events.
We would like to thank our volunteers who gave us their time to make this event a success. Many already spent hours decorating the hall the day before, then got up very early on the day to prepare for the food stalls. Our very own dance group spent weeks rehearsing for the big day; they deserved the enthusiastic applause and comments they had. All together there were about 60 volunteers working in the hall with more in the back ground. It is an event that required a united and selfless team with one common goal, we are proud that this was achieved by our volunteers on the day. Our pride is not the success of the event, but the enthusiasm and dedication of our volunteers, we are proud of your success. Thank you once again and well done! |
